Childbirth Connection
is the new website of the former Maternity Center Association.
It offers
up-to-date information on evidence-based care in a very readable format.
The sections on Cesarean delivery (a very risky abdominal surgery
that is difficult to heal and you can catch serious infections, and
have problems with future pregnancies!) labor support, and
choosing a caregiver are especially worth reading. Finally, the text
of “A Guide to Effective Care in Pregnancy and Childbirth” is
on this website. This text is an excellent reference for information
on evidence-based care.
